Knowledge in simple words
In simple words. How do you know what is true.
Reality is one way. Humans tend to explain that way but usually fail to do so accurately.
In the past, it was considered that the best explanations which are provided by the right authority are the truth. And then the debates go on about which authority is the correct authority to follow.
But is this what knowledge is?
Is knowledge based upon belief in authority?
True knowledge lies in realizing that all explanations are inherently filled with errors and misconceptions. Everything that we believe is probably false and also mixed with truth.
The pursuit of true knowledge about anything lies in understanding this. In understanding that the explanations of the past are filled with errors and misconceptions. And not merely rejecting them on this basis, but rather in trying to correct them.
